So excited that I have been invited to display my art at Wood Icing Studio/Gallery!
Wood Icing Studio/Gallery is part of Artropolis arts district in Chesterfield Mall, partnered with Chesterfield Arts and the Regional Arts Commission.
Artropolis consists of six shops:
Wood Icing is owned by a mother-daughter team and specializes in decorative furniture and abstract mixed media painting.
Mind Works Gallery is owned by Robert Cornman and shows work from a variety of local artists.
Fusion is collectively owned by local artists and craftsmen.
Dramatic License Productions, owned by Kim Furlow, is a black box theatre and cabaret.
Hayes Fine Arts is owned by Sharon Hayes, nationally known for her "faces that share eyes."
St. Louis Teachers' Recycling Center gathers materials for teachers to use for crafts and learning activities in the classroom.
All of the Artopolis artists are local – several of the stores actually double as studio space – and many of them also offer classes and workshops to teach their techniques to the public.
At Wood Icing Studio/Gallery, I will have the opportunity to display my art work with some of St Louis's most talented artists. (There are 14 artists to be exact!) Other artists displaying there include: Heather Haymart, Mary Beth Shaw, and Sharon Spillar. I’ve posted some images of their mixed-media paintings below.
More information soon!
