The Memory Project Portraits Delivered to Indonesia!

4/25/2011

I just learned that my students’ portrait projects were delivered to the children in Indonesia!
(I first wrote about this project – The Memory Project – in November.  You can read that post here.)

Ben Schumaker’s parents, Jim and Debbie, delivered our portraits in person.
They reported that “the children were very excited by the whole experience, and incredibly warm with thanks for the gifts.”
They even created a video (posted below) sharing their music and dance with us!

The 20 portraits were delivered to 7 orphanages in total.
I hope you enjoy and are inspired by the photos and video below!

Have a creative week!

OMG! you just inspiried a great idea. I went on a mission trip to India a few months back and there we visited and got very attached to children that lived in the orphanges there. I realized how amazing it would be if the kids from our church could connect through art to the kids in India. This was a great post and i'm so happy you shared. Thanks!
