It was a great day yesterday demo-ing StencilGirl Products with Mary Beth Shaw at the MoFA (Missouri Fiber Artists) Conference yesterday! I love the blue t-shirt Mary Beth Shaw stenciled for me!!
Yesterday’s event had weavers, basket makers, spinners, knitters, quilters, paper makers, surface designers, exhibits, vendors, workshops and more! John Shaw and Karyl Howard were in the house, too!
In addition to wearing our stenciled shirts, Mary Beth and I stenciled on canvas tote bags, pencil cases, and the tablecloth of our demo table, too!
We combined fabric paints, fabric markers, and layered it up! Our table cloth was unstretched, unprimed canvas, and visitors stenciled along with us, expanding the design and adding their own marks!
Was delightful to watch the artwork grow as the day progressed!
We appreciate Candy Grisham, MoFA Exhibition Coordinator Co-Chair, inviting us to be part of yesterday’s festivities. Candy created this gorgeous artwork for the exhibition on display, incorporating Cecilia Swatton’s stencil design and a quote by John Burroughs.
Thank you, Mary Beth, for another wonderful day filled with fun memories of friendship and creativity!
Have a lovely week, everyone!
