StencilGirl & Craft Attitude Blog Hop!

StencilGirl Craft Attitude
Welcome to Day ONE of the StencilGirl and Craft Attitude Blog Hop!

For today’s hop, I wanted to try Craft Attitude in my art journal! Being January, I created a spread that reflected on memories and experiences of 2014 while looking forward to 2015.
Craft Attitude
First, on my laptop, using just Microsoft Word, I inserted two of Tangie Baxter’s Cartography Global Stamps, photos of family (including Bruno!) and images my art (including my first painting of 2014!). I reversed the images, then printed them out onto my Craft Attitude Film. After allowing the ink to completely dry, I trimmed the excess paper away from the images and removed the Craft Attitude Film from the backing. Then I applied glue stick to the area to which the images would be applied and adhered the images ink side down.
Craft Attitude
I traced Carolyn Dube's Blueprints of Archeological Treasures stencils (both large and small) with a black Identi-Pen to add rectangles and Terri Stegmiller's Merry Go Round stencil to add some organic curves onto the pages. I used Mary Beth Shaw's December 2014 StencilClub stencil to add 2014 and 2015.
Craft Attitude
Next came DecoArt Media fluid acrylic in yellow and green...
Craft Attitude
Blue and red...
Craft Attitude
And oranges until it was complete! I really like the mosaic/stain-glass effect of the colors and shapes:
Craft Attitude
I hope I've inspired you to try Craft Attitude with your StencilGirl stencils, too!

Love the colors in your project (and of course your beautiful family). Does the craft attitude film help to bring out the colors? I went to their blog and the product looks like fun.
