Sailboat

I can't stop using my Set Sail stencil series from StencilGirl® Products!
Today I'm sharing my newest painting entitled "Sailboat." It layers collage, ink, acrylics, embossing powder and ephemera
on an 8" x 10" stretched canvas. It includes vintage flashcards I got from Ephemera Paducah and 1920s ledger paper from a Sea Captain documenting his ship's travels. And I used my Water's Edge, Navigate, and Mini Waves stencils, too!

I had a lot of fun creating the waves at the top using mask of my new Water's Edge stencil with Turquoise Sparkle Embossing Powder from Emerald Creek.

What a lovely design. I really like that dark, navy blue waves in the lower left section and that beautiful anchor. I've seen those ledgers all my life, it brings happy thoughts to mind. My Dad is a commercial fisherman and I've seen those logs for as long as I can remember.

Thanks for joining us this week for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. I hope you'll join us again soon.
