Currently, I have artwork on display in a solo show at Renaud Spirit Center in O’Fallon, Missouri, until July 15th.
If you live or are in the area, I hope you can see the show!
All the details, including gallery hours, are on my events page.
Thanks to Ronnie Roy, too, for the article he wrote in Patch about the exhibit.
He did an outstanding job – particularly since I gave this interview via phone from my classroom in between exams during the last week of school!

On display are low-relief sculptures I created during my residency at Prairie Center of the Arts.
There I had the unique opportunity to use an Omax waterjet, using elements of the earth (water and garnet) to cut. The process is the same as water erosion found in nature but greatly accelerated and concentrated.
Inspired by topographical maps of places I had lived and painted, I created 120 drawings that I then scanned and saved into DXF (Drawing Exchange Format) files.
The waterjet cut each plywood section directly from these DXF files.
Afterwards, I painted and assembled these into 40 low-relief topographic sculptures!
Have an inspiring and creative week!
