...or the 10 Best Thing About My Experience Living on a Farm

Osage Arts Community
1.   Being able to connect with nature and animals every day.

2.   The wonderful smell of fresh air…mingled with pine.

3.   The simplicity.

4.   The vast, open spaces.

5.   The peace and quiet and solitude.

6.   The isolation.

7.   Rather than watching television, I watched sunsets and fireflies!

8.   Swimming in the Gasconade River.

9.   Eating fresh food.

10.  Sleeping with the windows open, letting in the cool night air and listening to crickets.

Osage Arts Community
Have an inspiring week!

What a lovely post! As I have also grown up in the countryside I can easily relate to that topic :) Many things you mentioned are the ones I would have listed... I really like to live in the country and I think i will do that in the future (right now I have an apartment in town)!

I love the great outdoors, quite evenings, and cool nights. I sometimes wonder how people do without it.

I don't live on a farm but I love getting out of the city. When I am at the cottage (no internet, no tv) that is EXACTLY how I feel - love it. And lovely photos to illustrate your post too! BYW as well...

Hi Mary, great column and photos. I learned to love the big city but I'm a country girl at heart (having grown up on a farm).

I'll check out your Friday favorites too.

Popping by from BYW2. Enjoy your day!

I love your list and especially your daily "shows" of fireflies and sunsets! So lovely to read about your world.
