If you ever get a chance to take a workshop from Mary Beth Shaw, do it! Whether you are brand new to making art or an experienced artist, Mary Beth Shaw's enthusiasm is absolutely contagious!
Saturday's workshop Not Yo' Mama's Stencils at Re-invent Gallery & Studio was no exception!

It was a wonderful day of Stencil Mania! The morning consisted of Mary Beth demonstrating several stencil techniques with participants completing a small reference booklet to keep track of all we learned. During the afternoon, Mary Beth shared tips and tricks for creating wonderfully layered painted papers to be used in mixed media collages and art journals. We cranked up the music and let the paint fly!!

It was delightful making art with friends – and making new friends, too! I was lucky enough to sit between StencilClub members Lisa and Trena! Of course, there were tons of StencilGirl stencils there for us to use during the workshop also!
It's impossible not to have fun with Mary Beth! And don't you just love Sharon's apron above adorned with Seth Apter's stencils!
Looking forward to continuing to experiment with all the new techniques I learned Saturday.
And already planning to meet up with my art friends again!
Thanks so much for visiting my blog!
I hope you have a great week!
