My new painting this week is entitled Other Times.
©2013 Mary C. Nasser, Other Times, mixed-media/acrylic on canvas, 9 x 12 inches
©2013 Mary C. Nasser, Other Times, mixed-media/acrylic on canvas, 9 x 12 inches
This painting layers collage, lots and lots of maps, graphite, and acrylic paint with the Old World Map Stencils and Shooting Stars from Artistcellar on a stretched canvas.

Click on the photo above to see a larger image.

In this  painting, I limited my palette again to neutral colors again along with my favorite complementary combination of teal and copper.
Was so much fun to make this!

Thanks for visiting my blog!
Hope you're having a wonderful week!

this is beautiful Mary. I really like the new direction your art is going. I mean, it is still instantly recognisable as your style but it seems somehow softer and more curvy less linear if that makes any sense!

Mary this is so visually blissful for me..and it feels as though the energy of this piece is flowing in a different way! I am offten pulled in, drawn inward into your pieces and a feeling of widening..and this one feels pronounced more..like it is sitting more on the surface..opening itself..and moving outward..like things are flowing forward toward the viewer..does that make sense! It feels different vibrationally..it is fantastic..beautiful..and i feel like it is blooming forward toward me..gorgeous! and a feeling like one is on of the cusp of expansion...
