Layers
My new painting this week is entitled Layers.
This painting layers a Hawaiian map, ink drawing of a Hawaiian petroglyph, mica, text, stamped metal, acrylic media and acrylic on a small stretched canvas.

I love the addition of the stamped metal. What did you adhere it with?
I like your pieces because it's like art within art. Beautiful.

Very interesting. I've used different materials in paintings at times. This technique is a bit different for me.

I love the correlation of "layers" to Hawaii, which is in essence made up of layers (of lava) along with years of mother nature and Madam Pele.

Love al the layers as that creates so much interest. The colors are nice too. With it being Hawaii it all just fits in well. Happy PPF.

The addition of the stamped metal element is wonderful :)
(I've made some stamped washer necklaces for friends and family, I've never thought to add them to a painting... Beautiful!)
