Lake by Mary C. Nasser
Lake
My new painting this week is entitled Lake.

This painting layers a Hawaiian map, ink, metal, encaustic, olivine (I purchased on the Big Island),  pieces of vintage map, and acrylic on a small stretched canvas.

Comments please!
Happy Mid-Week!

It makes me think of Hawaii! We stayed in Honolulu for our honeymoon, and these colors are spot on.

This one blows me away, I want to run my hands over all that gorgeous texture & reflective metallic goodness, like a volcano has secreted a rainbow instead of lava, LOVE IT!!

Mary your mixed media paintings are amazing! Belated thanks for creating the art blog hop such a great way for all of us crafty souls to find each other, inspire, and be inspired by one another. You will fall in love with pinata making once you try it...a lot of work (leave yourself a week..trust me!) but sooo worth it! (who doesn't love a pat on the back and a wide eyed smile when it comes to their art) Following you back :)
