I REALLY like this one. That line of turquoise reminds me of flowing water...taking me in the direction the arrow is pointing.

The composition on this one is just about as close to perfect as you can get... and those crisp edges on your lines are amazing... every week they are fab...xx

This reminds me of the way the field look from out the plane window, a quilt of design and color.

The idea of using maps and transfer them into art is very inspiring! I'll have to try that some time.
The different sections in your painting almost look like some silk-fabrics and as a tailor that is just something i love!

Happy PPF and weekend

Wow, Mary, coming to your blog each week is such a treat for me. The turquoise colors you use are MY colors (meaning that's what I look best in!). This piece is beautiful. I am aware that the line coming down toward the bottom center is there to put balance in the design. I am so impressed with you keen eye in that regard. Thanks for visiting my blog.

no way to go but up!! i like that. Lovely piece! would love to have one of these in my living room :D if I ever have an art buying budget I'll let you know. was just thinking the other day of how tired I was of seeing my own art up on the walls and how nice it would be to see someone else's, especially with a radically different style - maybe an arts exchange... anyway seeign your piece made me remember that

Love your work -- great texture and use of color. I love the blog, too, and that your are featuring fabric artists. I recently did a self portrait/poem with a map. Now I'm collecting some to use in the future. You're a great inspiration.
