My new painting this week is entitled 3900.

This painting layers a Hawaii map, ink drawing, acrylic paint and media, metallic tape, and mica on a small stretched canvas.

Happy Mid-Week!

Great mixture of geometric and organic shapes. The layers on the left side look like alternate land and see - very effective.

Wow. Gorgeous! I want to touch it... to see if that metallic "river" is flat or if it is cut into the canvas!

Hi, thanks for adding yourself to my followers - I figured I'd return the favour.

I'm enjoying your pieces with maps, there's something about maps and cartography that fascinates me. Maybe I'll follow your lead and include some in my work too.

Hi Mary, thanks for visiting my blog!

The metallic blues in your painting remind me of sunlight reflecting off the ocean which works great with the map pieces from Hawaii.
