The fennec fox, just one of the stars of the Planet Earth series! Does anyone else see the resemblance to my dog Daphne?
My husband and I are documentary junkies.
Because all of my art is inspired by nature, you may have guessed that my favorite documentary is Planet Earth!

This series took more than 5 years to create and it shows!
Planet Earth includes stories of adaptation, survival, migration, interconnectedness of species, and geology in landscapes ranging from deserts to forests to caves to ice.

Having studied diverse landscapes and residing as artist-in-resident in a variety of terrains – from Mammoth Cave to Petrified Forest to the Big Island – each episode fascinates me.

Planet Earth
features 11 episodes:
Pole to Pole
Mountains

Deep Ocean
Deserts
Ice Worlds
Shallow Seas
Great Plains
Jungles
Fresh Water
Seasonal Forests
Caves

Check out some Planet Earth video on the Discovery Channel website!
Have a great start to your week!
