This Friday’s featured artist is Tom Lamb and his hand drawn maps!
I love the colors and sense of whimsy in his maps!

He writes:
In my work, I seek to find things about city life that make me laugh and are uniquely L.A. My maps are humorous while also serving as a unique memento. I have recently moved to New Mexico for some fresh air and large studio space to create more maps! I continue to be connected to L.A. in many ways.
I use many sources of reference including maps, postcards, photographs, and sketches, but the best way to get a feel for neighborhoods is to walk or drive the streets.
