If you are looking for the StencilGirl Eileen Hull Blog Hop, please keep scrolling down!

This Friday's featured artists are Mel and Steve of CartoCreative!
I'm especially fond of their series of Neighborhood Maps!

(If you're unable to see the slide show below of their map art, please click here to view it on my website.)
Mel earned degrees in commerce and urban planning while Steve double majored in graphic design and cartography!

Steve and Mel have traveled extensively together – teaching  English throughout Asia, road-tripping across North America, backpacking through Europe, and helping build habitats in Africa. Upon returning to Ontario, Canada, they began creating maps and skylines reminiscent of their adventures.  Mel and Steve also enjoy creating maps of places they’ve yet to visit, too!

I love that each map is created by hand and that they can be specially customized – the size, the color, even a quote, a heart, or a path can be added!

To see all of their uniquely handmade maps, visit their website at
www.cartocreative.com and their Etsy shop at www.etsy.com/shop/CartoCreative!

TGIF!

Mary

I love mixed media but have not gotten as far in to it as you. Very inspiring! I have a some stencils but do not use to their full potential I think. Love what you have done.
