Friday Favorite: Olga Skorokhod

This Friday's featured artist is Olga Skorokhod and her amazing topographical paper sculptures! Her precision and attention to details are exquisite. I am fascinated by the many layers in each sculpture she creates. I love that she is inspired by National Parks, too! Her series of Water Portals are inspired by hot springs at Yellowstone National Park.

She writes that the "power of nature gives me energy and inspires me...Currently, I'm fascinated with paper cutting. The main tool for creating my artworks is a surgical blade. I give texture to smooth sheets of paper using a blade and layering them for depth...I can create many different textures using only paper."
