Friday Favorite: Heidi Whitman

This Friday’s Feature artist is Heidi Whitman!

I am amazed by her Shadowland/Constructions in which she uses cast shadows as a medium in her art.

From her artist statement:

I'm interested in how experience is translated into thought, how memories are layered, and how dreams jumble reality. Cartography and abstraction are two languages used in my work. Computer networks, ancient ruins, floor plans, fortifications, and city grids coexist in a time- and space-compressed world.
