Friday Favorite: Fernando Vicente

This Friday’s featured artist is Fernando Vicente and his amazing atlas illustrations!

His mark-making is lovely, as is the way he integrates the surfaces of the maps into his illustrations!
It's wonderful seeing the process in these, too – the paint splatter, sketched lines, preliminary drawings, and studies of subjects from different perspectives..
And I love the way the illustrations extend outside the borders of the maps, knowing no bounds!
