If you are looking for the StencilGirl & Lesley Riley TAP Transfer Artist Paper Blog Hop, please keep scrolling down!
This Friday’s featured artist is Christopher Estes of MapHazardly!

I love all three of his unique map art collections: City Blueprints, MAPellations, and UrbanScapes!
In each series, Christopher wonderfully transforms complicated data into creative works of art, combining technical and aesthetic.

First up are his City Blueprints!
Inspired by the style of traditional blueprints, each map is created with accurate data and highlights each city’s street network, highways, and water features.

Next…MAPellations, a play on the word ap·pel·la·tion: a legally defined and protected geographical indication used to identify where the grapes for a wine were grown.
In this series, Christopher creates map art inspired by vineyards soils.

And last but not least…UrbanScapes!
UrbanScapes transform metropolitan areas into colorful works of abstract art.
