This Friday’s featured artist is Christina Lembo of Franny & Franky Designs.
I love her hand-lettered maps!

Franny & Franky Designs (named after my mother and my grandfather, two of the most inspiring people I've known) started with the idea to create state and city prints with a twist, to help people show their hometown (or other town) pride in a unique and artistic way.
My mother was a big saver. When she passed away, we found stacks of cards I’d made her in elementary school, old photographs, letters my father had written her on business trips in the 1980s. She’s the “Franny” in Franny & Franky. The “Franky” is my grandfather — kind, patient, quietly hilarious, and full of interesting stories from long-gone eras.
I’m expanding my hand-lettering skills and have most recently become hopelessly addicted to relief printing — more specifically, linoleum block printing — which has helped me expand my designs into other media and techniques.
