Friday Favorite: Charles Clary

This Friday’s Feature artist is Charles Clary, who specializes in creating relief sculptures using layers of hand cut paper. Clary's work is tactile and colorful and remarkably complex. Each piece is composed of multiple layers of paper stacked on top of each other to jut from the wall or recede. These layers are intricately cut and inspired by natural and organic forms like topographic formations.

I love the way his work looks like 3-D geological maps!

It must be quite a work to do that, somehow also fancy.. :)

But the work you have done in your previous post it very lovely, I love so much the colors you use, gold, the red one, the sand colors further below that post and the light blue.. I get so inspired! :)

This is a form of art that's new to me - the dark blue/black picture I felt really drawn to as it reminds me of those dark blue mollusc shells that cling to rocks on beaches in the UK. Thanks for showcasing.
