This Friday’s featured artist is Beatrice Gilbert and her amazing quilts! Her Worlds Apart quilt is exquisite!! I would LOVE to have this hanging on display in my home!

Worlds Apart, 39" x 39"
From her artist statement:
Beatrice’s artwork has always been a reflection of her deep response to color. She uses unexpected twists or adds flair to engage the viewer in her art. For her, color is content. Simple in form, her work focuses on the drama that can come from playing with value, color, and contrast. Her home in North Yarmouth, Maine continues to provide a grounding essentially inspirational for her blending of art and life. The country setting and her earth bound interests in family, gardening, raising sheep, and spinning wool provide an environment that inspires graceful simplicity.
