“Between the failure and the masterpiece,
the distance in one millimeter.”
~Paul Gaugin, painter
It’s Friday and cold and dreary, and I’m tired…looking forward to the weekend as I imagine most of you are! So this quote seemed perfect for today, motivation to keep pushing through the week. This was a favorite quote of mine during graduate school, too, prompting me to keep moving forward and pressing on. For those of you unfamiliar with Paul Gauguin, he was not always a Post-Impressionist painter. He actually became a stockbroker first by the age of 25 and pursued a business career as a stockbroker until he was 37 – when he decided to quit his stockbroker job to become a full-time painter.

On another note, Fridays are good days for me to reflect on the week’s accomplishments; this reflection can fuel more action, too. This week, I scanned additional slides of my paintings to post on Etsy, and also began selling gift certificates in my Etsy shop. You can check it out at www.marycnasser.etsy.com
If you have your own Etsy shop, you may want to consider offering gift certificates, too.
Remember, I’ll be giving away a $50 gift certificate at the end of December for you or a friend to treat yourself! Just like my Facebook art page by December 30th to be eligible to win!
TGIF!
