Welcome to first day of the Stencil Girl Book Blog Hop!
Stencil Girl
The StencilGirl Creative Team is excited to share with you what we did with Mary Beth Shaw’s book Stencil Girl! There are so many fun techniques in this book! And I’m delighted to be sharing what I created with Mary Beth’s Doodle Mania technique!
Mary Beth Shaw
I’m a lucky girl to live in St. Louis…recently, I got to doodle with Mary Beth Shaw and play with media and techniques she shares in her book Stencil Girl. And I’ve been doodling away ever since!

StencilGirl stencils are a great way to begin doodles!

This is a photo of the very early stages of my first doodle with Terri Stegmiller's Slices 6 stencil...

...and below is the finished doodle, filled with lines and shapes galore!

I started my next doodle with Terri Stegmiller's Spider Flower stencil...

And here's the finished doodle!

This doodle incorporates Michelle Ward's Segments Small stencil:

I'm always doodling when I'm on the phone - waiting for someone to answer. Usually I start out with a "house" and start running lines off from there. I need to get focused and start doing something really worthwhile. Love your designs. thanks for sharing.

WOW, Mary!! I did not know that doodling can look so good and Artsy Fartsy!! :) I'm looking at doodling so differently now, especially with using stencils as an outline/starting point. Your 'doodles' are amazing art!! Thanks for giving us a chance to win Mary Beth's new book and some incredible Stencil Girl stencils :) XOXO-Shari T.
