Dogs + Art

October is Adopt-A-Shelter-Dog Month!
And I’m so very grateful I found Bruno on Petfinder.com and adopted him through Animal Rescue of Southern Illinois.
Adopt-A-Shelter-Dog Month
He’s my extra-friendly alarm clock, co-pilot in the car, and exercise partner on our daily walks.
He goes with me to visit family and keeps me good company in the solitude of my studio.
He’s the best medicine, my personal assistant (he’s been known to help me find my keys!), and my comic relief.

Bruno’s taught me important lessons: like living in the present.

He’s never dwelled on the two families that relinquished him.
I think Bruno and I have always belonged together…it just took him two years to find me.

It was my love for Bruno and Daphne and the unconditional love they’ve given me that inspired me to design a sculpture for The Harry & Hanley Project.

I hope you enjoy the video recap below of last month’s super-duper Birthday Bash & Auction of the

Harry & Hanley sculptures!

Every time I hear the song that accompanies the video, I think of my Bruno.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog.
Have a wonderful week!
Mary^

What a lucky dog Bruno is to have found someone to love him! (I wish my dog would find my keys on occasion too! lol).
