For this week’s page, I layered black gesso, white gesso, and acrylics for the background. Inspired by the month's theme Storytelling with the Written Word, I knew I wanted to incorporate Seth Apter's stencil from StencilGirl Products' November StencilClub again.

For this page, I continued experimenting with applying DecoArt's Media Crackle Paste over the stenciling and DecoArt's Media Antiquing Cream, too. I also experimented with applying Pearl Ex pigment on this page. I did my scribble journaling at the top of the page this time. Lastly, I added accents of white ink to enhance the stencil lettering and marks, too.

I've had requests on Instagram to share more detailed photos of the layers of surface textures I create, so here they are. It's such fun!

So delighted I completed each week's challenge of The Documented Life Project! It was wonderful to stretch and learn each week, experimenting with different techniques and materials and ideas! I'm incredibly grateful for Lorraine Bell, Sandi Keene, Rae Missigman and  Roben-Marie Smith –  for all their time, work, generousity and kindness organizing each week's challenge and inspiring us each week with their own art journal pages and processes, too!
