For this week’s page, I actually used a piece of underpaper for the background! Inspired by the month's theme Storytelling with the Written Word, I knew I wanted to incorporate Seth Apter's stencil from StencilGirl Products' November StencilClub again.
For this page, I had fun experimenting with applying DecoArt's Media Crackle Paste over the stenciling at the top. After allowing the Crackle Paste to dry overnight, I applied DecoArt's Media Antiquing Cream, too. I did my scribble journaling of song lyrics in black ink at the bottom of the page. Lastly, I added accents of white ink to enhance the stencil lettering and marks, too.
I've had requests to share even more detailed photos of the layers of surface textures I create, so here they are:
