Today I'm sharing what I created for Week 44 of
The Original Documented Life Project™ The Journal!

October Theme
Translucent Papers

October 31 Challenge & Prompt
Art Challenge:  Tea Bags, Dryer Sheets, Fibrous Papers
Journal Prompt:  Just Create!
The Original Documented Life Project™ The Journal
For this week’s page, I built up the background with techniques I learned in Seth Apter’s and Mary Beth Shaw's Art Journaling Workshop to create layers and surface texture. It was a lot of fun building up these layers of color and texture with white and gold gesso and acrylics!

Inspired by the journal prompt "Just Create!" I incorporated Carolyn Dube's inspiring words from her Now Is The Time stencils black acrylic from StencilGirl Products. I also added Mary Beth Shaw's fun Ampersand stencil for variety. White and pink paint pens accents helped the words pop even more!

I added a little Sharpie Mean Streak here and there, too, and some scribble journaling in black ink about what I love most about creating.

Lovely textures and I really like the scribble journalling. It's something I haven't perfected yet!

By now i recognize your artwork as soon as i see them, because of the forms and limited palette of colors. But i am always amazed how you provide variety with such limited forms and colors.I guess this is what we call creativity :) I love your scribbly handwriting. It is such a fun way of journaling.

i really like all the layer in the background. The colors you chose really work well together and that pink truly pops.
