Today I'm sharing what I created for week four of

January’s Theme
The Blank Page and How to Face It!

January 24 Challenge & Prompt

Art Challenge:
Writing
Journal Prompt: Words with Friends
For this challenge, I literally incorporated words from friends in this journal spread  – with stenciled words designed by Carolyn Dube and vintage ledger paper sent to me by Jessica Sporn! I wrote with a 6B pencil in the background, too, and made some of my own calligraphic marks with graphite.

Stencils used: Carolyn Dube's Scribble Scratch Handwriting stencil, Uplifting Words, Now Is The Time small and large, and Fridge Poetry stencil. Also, I feel incredibly grateful to Jessica Sporn for mailing me these gorgeous blue ledger pages filled with lovely calligraphy...pages that are over 120 years old! Thank you, Jessica!

Below are details of my pages and layers:

Still loving how open to interpretation the DLP challenges and prompts have been!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog!
I hope you have a wonderful week!

What a gorgeous spread. I love the effect of looking at those ledger pages through a magnifying glass. Beautiful!

Mary - this is so amazing- the depth you've created with the circles and the way you have used all the text - WOW!!

Beautifully done, Mary. The juxtaposition of the ledger pages (great find, Jessica!) and the modern font from the stencil - well, brilliant! I don't often see you work with pink, but you've rocked with this piece.
