For this week’s page, I knew I wanted to include the word SHADOW from Seth Apter’s Text and Texture Explore stencil from StencilGirl Products. I stenciled this in black acrylic on a vintage book page. And I knew I wanted to incorporate techniques I learned in Seth Apter’s and Mary Beth Shaw's Art Journaling Workshop to create layers and surface texture. It was a lot of fun building up these layers of color and texture with gesso and acrylics!
In addition, I used a technique I learned in Mary Beth Shaw’s Parts Is Parts workshop to create the element in the upper-right corner, to make the word SHADOW the focal point. The corrugated cardboard is from Art-C's Travel Ephemera Collage Kit and had adhesive on the back, making it super-easy to adhere to the page! The black tag is from this collage kit, too; I journaled on it with my white ink pen.
Also incorporated are Seth Apter's Techno Insiders Circle stencil and Rae Missigman's Look Here Trio of Arrows stencil.
