Today I'm sharing what I created for Week 34 of
The Original Documented Life Project™ The Journal!

August Theme
Faces, the Human Form & Characters

August 22 Challenge & Prompt

Art Challenge:
 Layered (Using Multiple Mediums)
Journal Prompt:  Speak to your younger self- what advice would you offer?
Documented Life Project
I created this by first adhering pages from a vintage travel book onto the surface with Traci Bautista's Collage Pauge. After this dried, I added gesso, fluid acrylics, and dripped Golden High Flow Acrylics along the page, too. I stenciled in the expressive face with neon pink ink and Andrea Matus DeMeng's Yearning Desire stencil from StencilGirl Products. The layering continued with washi tape and more acrylics. Lastly, I glued scraps from Gelli plate prints horizontally both above and below the portrait and scribbled advice for my younger self in white and black ink.
