Today I'm sharing what I created for week fifteen of
The Original Documented Life Project™ The Journal!

April’s Theme
Color Safari (Exploring Inks and Paints)

April 11 Challenge & Prompt

Art Challenge:
Acrylics
Journal Prompt:
Cry Me a River
Documented Life Project
Inspired by the prompt, I thought about how I turn to my art during the most difficult times in my life.
Being creative helps me express my emotions. And allowing myself to experience my feeling helps me move forward in my life. So with the help of Rae Missigman's Clustered Triangles and Look Here Trio of Arrows stencils and Roben-Marie Smith's ART POPS™ arrow stickers, I included LOTS of arrows facing forward to the future! (Behind Roben-Marie's stickers, I incorporated Rae's Repetition stencil, too!)

For this week, I went WILD with color! Was really fun experimenting with a variety of color combinations!
I also included the word WITHIN from Seth Apter's Past Present Future stencil on sidekick/underpaper I recently created during his workshop with Mary Beth Shaw.

And below is a detail of my writing in black ink and white ink along with collage from a vintage airmail envelope:

Here's to moving forward!
Thanks for much for visiting my blog!
I hope you have a wonderful week!

So true about art - it is a big part of how I process emotions too. Love how you went wild with this one!!

My eyes are drawn to the map in the center of the page. Maybe because it is printed paper it seems to stabilize everything around it. I like Roben-Marie's style. I have been trying to not use any of her ideas but I think I am going to surrender to it. I like the two black lines, also. Great page!

I am usually all about being productive. But this post gets me thinking art isn't about producing. It's about processing.
