and dance is one of them.”

I go to dance classes 3 times a week.
And I love it!
When I am dancing, I am living in the present.
It’s impossible think about the past or future when I am intent on doing the jazz step, meringue, and salsa.
Because of my passion for landscapes and maps, I am also intrigued by topokinetic memory. Topokinetic memory is a particular type of spatial memory which is involved in the memory of routes and movements. One example would be the memorization of a route, sequences of turns, etc. Another example is dance. J. S. Beritoff was even the first to report that animals (cats and dogs) can return blindfolded to their starting position after they have been passively transported!
Up until last year, the last time I went to dance classes, I was only 5 years old.
A perfectionist at the age of 5, I quit dance upon being tardy to a recital.
But my curiousity got the best of me, and I began to dance again.
I have the best dance teachers: Stacy and Lynne!!
Their instructions can be applied to much of life:
~Have fun.
~Sweat.
~Don’t worry about making mistakes.
~And no matter what…keep moving!
Have a great beginning to your week!
