When one of my collectors saw an art journal spread I posted to Facebook, she commissioned me to create a painting for her inspired by it! I was thrilled to do this for her!
It’s always such a wonderful feeling when others connect with my work.
Below is the finished work. It is entitled Path .

With her permission, I'm sharing what Linda wrote to me:
"Thanks for doing this for me. I'm so excited to see it finished and know you did it just for me!
Absolutely amazing!!!!!!!! Oh Mary, I love it!
Discovering your work and getting to know you because and through it has been such a pleasure for me.
I feel very blessed to have reaped the rewards of your talent and your kindness.
Believe me, Mary, collecting your work and working with you has been a pleasure."
Another patron has commissioned me to create three mixed-media map paintings to commemorate her recent travels to Africa. She wrote: "These would make great gifts for my traveling companions."
I'm collaging ephemera collected from her trip into the layers to further personalize the paintings.
I welcome opportunities to create commissioned artwork!
It's an honor and delight to work one-on-one with patrons to create special paintings.
If you'd like to commission a mixed-media map painting or series of paintings, please feel free to contact me.
I'd love to work with you!
Thanks so much for visiting my blog!
Hope you have a wonderful week!
Mary
