It was a wonderful weekend, filled with art and friends and family. Friday evening, Adam Long and I enjoyed the opening reception of our exhibition Textures and Topography at Bonsack Gallery.
I was delighted with how many people came to support us and celebrate with us!

Then Saturday morning, I had very talented and enthusiastic participants in my Bookarts/Art Journaling workshop at For Keeps Sake. Here is Sue's gorgeous concertina book she made and embellished with painted papers during the workshop...
So inspiring!

I also loved Nancy's French doors and dos-a-dos books and painted papers. She was very prolific!
And on Sunday, I learned lots about using StencilGirl stencils and encaustics at MaryBeth Shaw's studio!
Because StencilGirl stencils are made of mylar, they're heat-resistant and perfect for working with
encaustics, too! Woo-hoo!

Mary Beth Shaw is such an amazing artist...and one of the nicest people I have ever met, too!
Hope you had a lovely weekend and have a great beginning to your week!
