Recently, I've been incorporating a lot of Art-C ephemera into my mixed-media art journal pages.
Today, I'm sharing a tutorial using an Art-C Wood Pallet as the base!
During the busy holiday season, one of the first things that gets misplaced are my keys.
So I decided to create a pretty key holder to keep my keys in one place!

During the busy holiday season, one of the first things that gets misplaced are my keys.
So I decided to create a pretty key holder to keep my keys in one place!
I began with an Art-C Wood Pallet as the base and used The Groove Tool with brush tip to apply Blue gel stain.
Next, I used The Groove Tool with both the coarse and fine sandpaper tips to sand some of the surface
(particularly the edges) to give the piece a weathered effect.

Then I used adhesive stencils to spell the word “Keys” and applied White Ultra Chalk Soft Matte Paint
to the surface with The Grove Tool and brush tip.

After that, I used The Groove Tool to apply more Blue gel stain and to do additional sanding to the surface.
Lastly, I used my glue stick to layer on lots of lovely ephemera from Art-C’s
botanical collage kit and word play collage kit...
