I took this photo of Thor Heyerdahl's camera at the Kon-Tiki Museum in Oslo, Norway. Seeing his camera reminded me to carry mine everywhere!
1.  Write about your passions – for me, it’s art, nature, travels, maps and my dog!

2.  Post your goals. Blogging keeps you accountable, and your readers may even provide you with support!

3.  Write about what inspires you. Every Friday, I post about other artists who inspires me.

4.  Share information you’ve learned. (For example, I wrote about using Tagxedo and shared an article on
10 ways for artists to find balance.)

5.  Post images. Sometimes a picture really is worth a thousand words!

6.  Post tutorials. See my Stratilicious post!

7.  Post Giveaways! Who doesn’t love a good giveaway? Giveaways are a great way to reward your blog readers and followers!

8.  Post about what you know. I know my art, art history, my travels, and experience as an art educator.

9.  Post what you don’t know…but be willing to do the necessary research to gain knowledge of the subject before you post. Be sure it is a topic you want to learn about. You can even ask for feedback from your readers!

10. Post a Top 10 list (like this)! Or even a Top 20 (like 20 Reasons to Make Popcorn Tonight) or Top 17 (like 17 Reasons to Get All Gussied Up)! You get the idea!

Photo I took while visiting Norsk Folkemuseum during travels in Norway. I added the text for this post!
What blog post would you suggest?
Have a great beginning to your week!

I think your list covers everything. I especially like #5 about using photos. They definitely add to a post.

Thanks, Mary. I constantly do # 9. Post what you don’t know…but be willing to do the necessary research to gain knowledge of the subject before you post. Be sure it is a topic you want to learn about. You can even ask for feedback from your readers! I have so many different kinds of clients that I am in constant learning and then sharing mode. It gets me out of bed on Saturdays--my writing day.

Found your blog through Inspire Me Mondays. Love your list here. This really helps those of us who seem to have run out of inspiration!! Will add you to my favorites list!!! Also, love the picture of the camera. Reminds me of the old cameras that my aunt has!!

This is such an informative post. I'm a frustrated writer and I actually created WordPress account and publish my articles. What I actually have there is an online diary and I share to my readers my reflections and notable experience. So far, I'm happy with the positive feedback I am receiving. I know I can do better. This time, I wanted to develop my skills on web design ad SEO.
