Where do you go for inspiration?
Floral photography by Mary C. Nasser
"I perhaps owe having become a painter to flowers." – Claude Monet
I’ve been thinking a lot about what inspires me and I share those things on my blog regularly
but today let’s try something new.

What inspires you?
What blogs to do you read that you love?
What have you done or seen or who have you met lately that really inspired you?

Have a great beginning to your week!
Mary^

Yarn. The texture and qualities of the yarn determine what stitches will look good with it. Today's cool weather has me thinking of cowls!

Hiking and being in nature has always inspired me. I am so compelled to gather what I see, take it home and translate it into my world.

I am known for returning from trips with old snail shells and moss in my pockets. :)

Oh wow, just about anything. I've gotten ideas by wandering through the bead section, which is predictable, but also from looking at what other people are wearing, TV shows, books, going for a walk to clear my head...

I get inspired by color wherever I may find it..nature..art..and I love reading books on folk art..I like to take old forms and make them new. I also get inspired by my vintage supplies..having to make do with what I have on hand!

Oh, so many places, but mostly from my studio and what colors adn supplies surrounds me. Textures from nature or buildings. Some of my favorites artists also inspire me.

I get a lot of my inspiration for creative stuff from blogs such as A Beautiful Mess and Sincerely Kinsey. I love Etsy because looking at (and buying) amazing handmade pieces never fails to inspire me. My writing inspiration comes from many places, but a couple that spring to mind are The Poetry Fold, and Erin Morgenstern's Flax Golden Tales. I love your artwork Mary - I adore maps. My friend is incredibly talented and made me a bag using an old escape map - check her work out here http://www.flickr.com/photos/karinasbags/5963156015/in/photostream. Looking forward to following your blog, Emma from Girl in the Garret http://girlinthegarret.blogspot.com and BYW

So many things inspire me.
One of my favorite blogs is called Everyday Inspired even! I have a page of my fave blogs that you can visit any time. =0)
Some of the most simple things can be inspiring, like taking a nature walk in the beautiful autumn afternoon.

First, most, and always, nature and animals inspire me. I love looking at nature photos and websites for inspiration, as well as the real thing with walks in the woods, etc. It's easy for me to find inspiration by simply looking out the window at the clouds and sky.

Nature inspires me. Just the calmness of God's creation. I love the color combonations in Fall. Once the colors inspired me to make a new quilt!
