Wanted to share a fun website I recently learned about called Tagxedo.
Tagxedo doesn’t just take word clouds to the next level…it makes calligrams easy to create!

I was especially excited to learn about this website because every semester, I teach my Lettering students to create calligrams –

designs in which the layout of the words creates a visual image
related to the meaning of the words themselves.

Check out my typography map I created below in the shape of the

Big Island! The words are from my artist statement!
