Lava Flow by Mary C. Nasser
Lava Flow
My new painting this week is entitled Lava Flow.

This painting layers a Hawaiian map, ink drawing, metal, mica, encaustic, and acrylic on a small stretched canvas.

Happy Mid-Week!

I love how textural your paintings are, they are very interesting to look at.

Beautiful brown! It is very 3-dimensional, like a sculpture!

I just saw the other day about a volcano in Hawaii erupting, with lava flowing, but no humans are in danger. This is great work! Keep it up. =)

This is an awesome painting. I really love the work you do with multiple textures/layers.

I agree with Eeli - it is almost like a sculpture!

Nicely focused work, like the direction. Makes me thing of a friend of mine that LOVES maps. She'd like these. Thanks for visiting my site as well.

This is beautiful! I don't think the photograph does justice to the texture. It's a really wonderful mix of texture, color and line. Plus, I happen to love Hawaii!
