“My work is influenced by the suburb I live in and the places I visit.”
~Sue Beyer, painter
This Friday’s Feature artist is Sue Beyer!
I love the map paintings she creates!

Just a hick town, right off the map; Acrylic and posca pen on canvas; 122 x 122cm
From her website:
Sue Beyer's work considers the façade of the ordered suburban environment and the assumption of the permanence of our way of life and our cities. Her work is concerned with the effect that spaces and suburban settings have on an individual's emotions and behaviour and how people use space in a modern urban context.

Just a hick town, right off the map 2; Acrylic and posca pen on canvas; 76cm x 101.5cm

The cooling shade of the forest; Acrylic and posca pen on linen; 71cm x 61.5
